Mr. Suriyon has been responsible for driving Thailand logistics development strategy during its first six years (2003-2008). He had led the NESDB logistics team to formulate the master plan and had driven it into implementation. Most of his activities during the process always enthusiastically involved his counterparts from public, private and academic sectors. During the time and up until now, he also has helped supervise a few dozens of logistics research projects conducted by researchers from universities around the country, especially those projects funded by Thailand Research Fund and The Commission of Higher Education. For the last 4 years, he also has been a part time lecturer on Project Management in the Dual Master Program of Ramkamhang University.

He sometimes delivers academic paper. The most recent one is on Thailand Logistics Service: Status and Next Steps. It was presented at the 8^th National Conference on Science Technology and Innovation for Development, 24 July 2009, at BITEC. He also was a Reviewer of Article for the Asia-Pacific Development Journal (APDJ) which is published twice a year by the Macroeconomic Policy and Development Division of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP).
